Meet Our New Executive Director
We’re so happy to introduce you to inPath’s new Executive Director, Andrea True Joy Fox. Andrea has been warmly welcomed onto the inPath team and into the broader inPath community.
Andrea will work alongside inPath’s leadership team, outgoing ED, and Board of Directors as she steps into this important role. Our team and larger community is immensely grateful to the years of work and care Katie Green, outgoing Executive Director and co-founder has contributed to this organisation. Katie will be supporting Andrea and the organisation in the months to come.
Andrea True Joy is most grateful for the traditional knowledge and teachings her parents and elders have all shared with her. These teachings have helped her to connect and collaborate with Indigenous students, families, and communities in authentic and respectful ways. She enjoys bringing communities and people together, helping children and youth discover their gifts, and contributing to causes that support Indigenous children, youth, families, and mothers.
Andrea has contributed extensively to the arts and education sectors:
- She has led several successful art collaborations between various school districts that brought together many Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth, educators, and communities to participate in the discourse around Truth and Reconciliation.
- Her career in the arts and education have enabled her to address, consider and contribute to systems change in education that have impacted Indigenous students and Indigenous education through colonisation, systemic racism, and marginalisation.
- She has supported healthy, active learning communities and participated in policies and mandates that promote wellness in education for students and staff.
